Introducing Elaine Aldis, who has made so many wonderful videos about foodie heaven Taiwan

Her latest short video is on traditional food. It comes with an introduction as follows:
Any Taiwan itinerary has to include room for three things: 1) eating 2) recovery from eating (because you'll want to eat so much) and 3) more eating. In this video we try traditional Taiwanese foods like Dan Zai noodles (担仔麵), green scallop dumplings, pig's blood rice cake (豬血膏), intestine, eel (鰻魚), and milkfish belly (虱目魚肚).

We also have videos about the top foods to try in Taiwan, street food, desserts, and Taiwanese cooking, so check out the rest of our Taiwan (台灣) travel series for more.
At 0:38, you see how friends and relatives share a hot pot, cooking their own food, having their own sauces, while enjoy one another's company.

At 1:13, you are introduced to a vegetable you likely never heard of: dragon whiskers (龍鬚莱).  This exemplifies the abundance and dazzlingly array of common and exotic vegetables that Taiwan produces.  Think also about the unmatched abundance and quality of fruits, such as pineapple, mango, papaya, jujube, lychee, dragon eye, guava, rose apple, 香瓜, dragon fruit, ...
Elaine and her partner Marc do not just talk about food, they also introduce other things such as drugstores and museum.  You may think that there is nothing to write home about your visit to a Seven-Eleven in Taiwan.  You would be wrong, because Taiwanese use convenience stores to pay bills, wire money, send and receive packages, and whole lot more, including having freshly cooked quick bites.
